Chuck E Cheese

I have been putting a trip to Chuck E Cheese off for a long time. I took Dylan there last year for a birthday party and honestly I was NOT impressed by the place. I've seriously become a germaphobe since Emily was born and places like Chuck E's gross me out. I can honestly say it wasn't as bad as I remembered. Dylan found the train "game" and pretty much played that the entire time we were there. Brynn was as happy as she could be in the Chuck E car that rocked back and forth. They ate their dinner, ran all of their little energy off and right before we left I put them in their PJs so they could go right to bed when we got home. I guess I found a place to treat the kids to here and there as a reward--and little Emme slept right through it...I took a pic of her sound asleep.

Dylan's First Dentist experience

Dylan's first dental experience was quite an experience. He couldn't wait to go because I have been taking him with me for my cleanings for the last year so he knew what to expect when it was his turn. We went down to the dentist's office and Dylan patiently waited for his turn. He even drew the dental hygenist a picture of a train in the waiting room. HOWEVER when it was his turn to get his teeth cleaned, it was quite a feat. Eventually, after the screaming, he let the very patient dental hygenist count his teeth. I would have loved to take a pic of him sitting in the dental chair smiling, but that wasn't the case. He had to sit on my lap...

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Its my favorite holiday---St. Patrick's Day! My kids are all wearing their green, donning Shamrocks and talking about leprechauns. Dylan wants to go on a leprechaun hunt tonight so I went to the Dollar Store and picked up little gold coins to hide in the backyard...Here are the kids in their festive outfits...

Emily's baptism

My sweet little Emily Grace was baptised this past Sunday. The day was wonderful. We were blessed with warm weather, sunny skies and our family and friends all squeezed (literally squeezed) into our church to witness this important event. Emily of course slept through her baptism and party. We could not have asked for a nicer day for our little girl.

Mommy is 30!

Well last Thursday I turned the big 3 0! I was/am pretty excited about it. Stephen was fantastic and I had such great day. I can honestly say it was the best birthday I have had since my sweet 16. Friday my wonderful husband even threw me a little surprise birthday party. My kids were so good and Emily even slept through the night!

Happy Baby...

Here's a couple pics of happy Emme...

Conductors...

My son calls Osh Kosh striped overalls "conductors" because train engineers wear similar overalls. I LOVE Osh Kosh clothing and couldn't wait for Emme to be big enough to fit into her own "conductors". Here's a pic of my three in conductors this am...

Easter Bunny

Who would have guessed that the Easter Bunny would be at the mall already. I took the opportunity to take the girls there to visit Mr. Bunny. Emily is so little she could care less. Brynn is not a fan of the poor Easter Bunny and I appologized for the ear piercing screach/scream she let out when I asked her to stand next to the bunny for a picture. Brynn took off running the in the opposite direction of the bunny yelling "go away Bunny I don't like you". I did get a picture of Emily with the bunny because I have a gut feeling she's going to be afraid of the bunny next year...

Build a bear

Saturday I had lots of errands to run at the mall and since Dylan was spending a day of quality time with the Poley guys ice fishing, I took my girls with me. The person who invented the double stroller was a genius. Anyway, I have been kicking around the idea of having a Build a Bear birthday party for Brynnie this year. She has never been to the store before and she's at a great age where she tells you what she wants and what she likes and doesn't like. When Dylan was 18 months I brought him to Build a Bear and he made a monkey that we made with a button that taped Dylan's laugh. It's a priceless collectable. Brynn walked in to Build a Bear and found a very cute, cuddly lamb. She was hugging it and kissing it. I tickled her and we were able to tape her laugh to put in the lamb. She loved every part of the Build a Bear experience until I had to scan the tab on the animal's ear to make a Birth Certificate for it. Then the Brynn I know and love emerged, kicking, screaming and crying. Needless to say, a Build a Bear birthday party for my darling daughter won't be happening this year....here are some pics of our experience PRE temper tantrum.

The joys of a 2 month old...

I forgot how wonderful it is to have a baby in the house. Seriously. Everyone remembers screaming, unhappy Brynnie who cried for hours on end which lead to extremely stressed parents and big brother. Emily is so much like Dylan. She's happy and totally laid back. She now smiles, laughs, makes noises. She will watch me walk around a room and is so content just swinging in her swing or sitting in her papasan chair. I can put her in a carseat and go anywhere without a complete meltdown. Brynn never and still, cannot travel by car. She just doesn't like her carseat. As I type this, Emily is sitting in her swing "talking" to the fish mobile. I'm enjoying every minute of my last baby...
