Playdough...

I cannot tell you how happy (and relieved) I was when Dylan asked to play with playdough last night. We have had concerns about Dylan having sensory issues since he has a hard time touching certain textures. I quick ran to the Dollar Store yesterday and picked him up several small containers of playdough. I sat him at the island in our kitchen while I cooked dinner and he played with the playdough for 2 hours! He said he was making excema (a/k/a eggs) for him and Giwee for lunch. Here's a clip:

She sleeps....

I just have to post that we finally (after 8.5 months), have a baby girl that sleeps!!! She goes to bed at 6:30/7:00 and sleeps until 3:30. She'll drink a bottle, then she's up at 7:00--All I have to say is IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!!

" Wight & Wife"

I took Dylan this morning to see the preschool he will be attending in September. Dyl is so excited about growing up "big and strong" (as he says) and go to big boy school. When I pulled in the parking lot I thought he was going to jump out of the carseat. I introduced him to the Superintendent and secretary at the school. He was very polite. The secretary's husband happen to all stop by while we were there. Of course Dylan constantly talked about Thomas the Train, his favorite topic of conversation. The secretary's husband happens to be a REAL TRAIN CONDUCTOR so Dylan thought the entire "Wight and Wife" experience today was fantastic!

Little girls rooms...

During Brynn's pregnancy I decided that I would keep the nursery decorated exactly the same way that it was when we had Dylan. When I found out we were having a girl I had that yearning to paint the room pink and put girly things all over the walls. I held back and decided I would wait until our daughter was born before I did anything different to her room. Well PBKs has a bedding set that I have fallen in love with....maybe I'll decide to start painting soon....we'll see

Cranky the Crane

I'm a softy when it comes to my son asking for toys. It is a bad thing I know. Anything Thomas is always a huge hit when it comes to Dyl but after visiting a friend last weekend he has done nothing but talk about Cranky the Crane. I immediately went on a mission to find "Cranky". I finally found one on e-bay and it's on it's way to my little boy as we speak. I'm going to have one very happy little boy on Monday.

On the move...

Well Brynnie is officially a crawler. She surprised me yesterday and can get pretty far (if she wants to). Here's a clip.

"Race cars"

Dyl's bestus buddy "Giwee" got him a Cars 24 piece puzzle for Christmas. Monday night I was making dinner and he asked me to open it up for him. I put the pieces face up on the kitchen table and after about 15 minutes he yelled "I'm done". I couldn't believe he put the entire puzzle together all by himself. Of course my camera was at the office but I was so proud of him. I'm telling you we have a genious on our hands...(just kidding).

Little girls & bows

My daughter has some wild hair but it is still too short to put any clips in it. I cannot wait for the day her hair is long enough that I can put a pebbles pony tail right on the top (but that day we have to stay away from daddy because he isn't too fond of that hairstyle). For the time being I have been putting headbands in. I thought she looked so adorable I had to post a picture of her from this morning.

dreaming of trains...

Anyone who knows our family knows how much our big boy LOVES Thomas the Train. I went in to check on Dylan and found him wearing a conductor hat. He must have found it in his closet before he fell asleep. He has been wearing it all day again today and told me that he is a trainman...too cute I tell ya.

Playtime...

Well yesterday was a fun day for all of the Poleys. Mommy got some much needed pampering with some girlfriends, Dyl got to spend the entire day with his best friend & betrothed "Giwee", Brynnie had her first real play experience with another baby "Wogan" and daddy got to spend a relaxing afternoon with the guys. I was so relaxed after my massage that I cannot wait to go back (HINT, HINT)....

Funky tights

I knew when I had a baby girl I would love dressing her up. Check out these tights I found in her dresser drawer. I couldn't help but put them on her (even though they are HALLOWEEN tights from The Children's Place). Doesn't she look adorable? I cannot help buying any funky tights I see. Every little girl should have a drawer full of them!

Is it time for the school bus?

It is hard to believe that our big boy is going to be 3 years old in less than 4 months. Daddy & I told him that he is going to go to pre-K in September and he is so excited with the idea of going to school. Every day he wakes up and asks if it is the day he is going to go to "Wight and Wife" with his friends. What cracks me up is he thinks he is going to go on a school bus. He'll wake up and as he is getting dressed he tells me I better hurry up because the bus is coming. I think he is in for a rude awakening when September rolls around and MOMMY is his "school bus".

Dan Zanes House Party

Any mom who watches Playhouse Disney with their kids knows who Dan Zanes is.

Santa brought Dylan the CD "Catch that Train" for a stocking stuffer and Dylan absolutely LOVES this CD! It has some pretty catchy songs on it (yes I admit I do know some of the songs), but it is so much fun watching Dylan dance around his room while Brynnie watches. She starts bopping right along with her brother and flaps her arms like a bird. This is HIGHLY recommended for any child, especially one that loves to dance with his/her mom and dad.

I love snow!

The first snow was in December and once our Big Guy saw the snow accumulating he couldn't wait to get outside and start playing in it. You would think that sledding would be the highlight of our boy's day but SHOVELING was what the boy was itching to do...I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree in our household. He's just preparing himself to work with the "big guys"...kwim?

Walking shoes...

I was in the mall last week and decided to have Miss Brynnie fitted for crawling/walking shoes. She's been using a walker for the last couple of weeks and gets around pretty well. I picked out a cute pair of white shoes with pink flowers on them from Striderite. As soon as we got back to the office and I put her in the walker she was running around the office like she owned the place. I think we're going to have another early walker....

First blog post

Well my New Year's Resolution this year was to create a blog so our family can see on a regular basis our kids grow. I'm going to do my best to post a new picture or two of the kids weekly and let you know what's going on in our crazy busy lives.
