Gilbert Lake

Shame on me for not taking lots of pics on this trip! What a beautiful, clean place! I was seriously stressing out about taking my 3 small children camping (especially Emily). We met our "boondocking" buddies last Friday at the campgrounds and I have to say we had a ball! There was more than 20 kids between all of us! Sunday night we had a Hawaiian themed night where we all sported the tackiest Hawaiian shirts we could find and had a luau. I was able to only get a pic of Emily rocking out her hair clip--all of the girls wore them. I admit now I have the camping bug and we are going to be doing a lot of outdoorsy stuff this summer! I was beyond happy that we rented a pop up for this weekend--I don't think a tent would have done it for us

Class trip '10

After this trip was cancelled twice, and a weather forecast that didn't look too promising, the LLCS Pre K class was finally able to go to SDTC. The Center has a fantastic imaginarium which is geared towards children of all ages. My son and a couple of his classmates went to the same place last year but were just as excited as the rest of the class to go again. Dusty the pony was the highlight of Dylan's day. He got to "drive" the horse. He pet a turtle, 3 day old baby ram and rabbit (he didn't want to touch any of the other animals--I don't blame him really) We ended the day at McDonalds where we met daddy and had lunch. I cannot believe my little guy is done with preschool in 12 days!

Benji and Jakes

T-Rex pizza anyone??? Benji and Jakes is our new favorite destination for dinners with the Poley family of 5-- there's nothing like eating out on the deck on the lake to make all 5 of us happy. The kids love the delicious T-Rex pizza there-- the gelato is pretty fabulous too--If you haven't been there you must get out to have some brick oven deliciousness

Grahamsville Gallop 2010

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Grahamsville Gallop--There's nothing like friendly competition :D

Brynn and Emily ran in the same race and Brynnie won!!!! Emily came across the finish line with a big smile (of course). She came in 5th place.

Dylan ran 200 meters and came in 3rd! He was so excited to get another trophy this year!

Trike a Thon 2010

I have become a very involved mommy when it comes to my children's education and I have to say I do LOVE it...This year has not been the easiest (to say the least) with Dylan's school. I am looking optimistically into the future and praying that everything turns out well there and so are the other parents. To keep the morale and spirits high, a bunch of parents planned the trike a thon which was a huge success. The kids learned so much about bike safety and were told that they were raising money for St. Jude's hospital where sick kids receive treatment for serious illnesses. Dylan couldn't wait to trike for sick kids and I was very proud of him and his classmates. Look out for an article in Tuesday's SC Democrat--the editor was there taking lots of pics of these kids.

Knobles

I cannot believe how precious free time is these days. Geez who would have thought! This weekend was the first nice weekend when we did not have anything to do on Sunday. I called my sisters and we decided to take the kids on a trip to Knobles on Sunday. This is a long day for my crew. It takes almost 3 hours to get there and when we arrive we make the most of it. Emily is big enough this year to go on some of the rides and she was all smiles and giggles all day long. Brynn was really peeved because she was denied the opportunity to ride the roller coaster and had to sit and watch her big cousins go on the ride. Dylan, my little train enthusiast can go on several different types of trains so he is as happy as a clam... I don't know when we'll get back to Knobles again but it probably won't be until the Fall.

Happy Birthday Brynn Anna-Louise!

3 years ago I gave birth to a beauty....Brynn Anna-Louise! Oh my little chicken, as she's affectiontately known in our house is turning into a little lady. She may be on the loud side (I think it has a LOT to do with her astrological sign..the BULL). We call her Stephen Jr. because she doesn't just resemble her daddy, she has his personality too :)

She is a strong willed little girl who isn't afraid to tell you how it is, which may be a good or a bad thing. I swear she's going to be a lawyer when she grows up because she will argue a point until she wins. She loves her siblings and is incredibly sweet when it comes to Emily Grace.

She loves princesses and dress up. She can't wait for Tuesdays to arrive every week because that's our day for Little Gym and chineee food (her favorite as she calls it). Happy Birthday my big girl. Can't wait to see what this year has in store for us....PRESCHOOL is just around the corner
