We finally "broke ground" on our latest project. This is a pic taken June 27, 2009 which shows the road going in at our new property. We are moving Poley Paving Corp sometime in the near future to this location on Twin Bridge Road in Ferndale. We are very excited about moving into a brand spanking new building which will have a lot more room! The kids love walking the property and seeing the progress every week. You can now see Route 17 from the spot we are putting the new office/shop and the kids love seeing how different the property looks every Sunday morning when we walk it. I'll keep you posted on our progress. The property looks completely different already

Summer Camp '09
I took this pic of Dylan this morning on his way to his second session of summer camp. The first session exhausted the poor little guy but he just figured out he can take a nap on the bus on the way home which means he can stay up a little later at night and he's not cranky (I guess moms do know what they are talking about after all)...He was all smiles this morning sitting in his seat I couldn't help taking a picture (or two)

20 years from now...
Twenty years from now when Stephen and I sit on the front porch (which I hope to have soon), I will cherish memories like this. Dylan and Brynn are so different but yet they are so alike. When they are away from each other, they always ask where the other is. They can fight like there's no tomorrow but at the end of the day they love each other "to the moon and back". I never had a close relationship with my siblings growing up and I hope that my children stay as close. They demanded that they camp out on the floor together at my aunt's house two weeks ago and that's where I snapped this pic. After a long day at the beach, they were exhausted and fell asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillow. I pray that 20 years from now, they will love and respect eachother as much as they do right now.
My Family
The BEACH!
We FINALLY got to the beach last week. We had a family function down in NJ and I couldn't wait to hit the beach! Dylan ran right for the ocean, Emily sat happily in the sand (eating it of course) and Brynn hated every minute of it. I'm trying my best to get back to the beach within the next month...Dylan is begging and Brynnie doesn't want to go but since mommy wants to go, WE ARE GOING :)
Mongaup Pond
Can someone tell me why I was so fond of Mongaup Pond as a child? I haven't been there since Dylan was a couple months old and was pretty disgusted by it when I took the kids there a couple weeks back. There were so many nasty flies it interfered with the kids swimming, playing and especially eating. We went there for an afternoon picnic and to enjoy one of the few beautiful summer days we were having. Poor Em was in her tent and in the matter of minutes the entire cover of the screen was nothing but flies. Dylan was oblivious to the annoying pests but me and the girls were ready to pack it up and head home. I have wonderful memories of camping and spending days there barbecuing and picnicking with my entire family...where did that place go? Maybe I should give it the benefit of the doubt and try again this fall....we'll see...
Knoebles '09
Okay I'm a HUGE fan of Knoebels Amusement Park in PA. It's super cheap, clean, close to home AND my kids LOVE it. My treat to Dylan and the girls mid-June was a day at Knoebels. It takes about 2.5 hours to get there from my house but it is so worth it. We had a fantastic day there and Brynnie was able to ride every kids ride this year. We invited friends of ours to come with us and all 6 kids had a fantastic time and I think I now have their mommy a fan of this fantastic family-friendly park.
Blue Eyes
Preschool Graduation
I am really behind yet again on this blog...life always gets in the way (in a good way). Preschool graduation really tugged at my heartstrings. Even though Dylan didn't graduate, all of the PreK students participated in the ceremony. I bawled like a freak because Dylan's teacher decided to take a leave of absense from the school. I LOVE this woman and I'm devistated that he will not have her again next year. I am praying hard that she will be back so Brynn and Emme will have the opportunity to learn from this amazing woman. Here's a pic of Dylan on his last day of school...
